Common Buckeye

Follow a butterfly. She will take you on quite a trail of discovery!

I am humbled to have been placed in the same sentence with names like Emerson, Thoreau, John Muir, Aldo Leopold and Mary Oliver – and Dave Bonta! And, I may steal this idea for an activity in some future workshop…
(Thank you Mavis!)

  1. When a person loves nature and devotes their life to it, as you do, I say why not? Besides, your writing style is much more appealing.

  2. Hey, how about that? I was also told several weeks ago that both our blogs would be used as examples of place-blogging in an environmental studies class at Penn State, but in that case it’s a bit more understandable because the prof is a friend of mine. Still, I was impressed that he’d discovered A Passion for Nature, as well, especially since he spends almost zero time online. Maybe we’re on some kind of enviromental studies list somewhere?

  3. Awesome Jennifer ! Congrats to you and Dave both. I always look forward to getting an email each time one of you writes a new entry to your blogs. You have very different styles, but when I read your words it is as if I am there, seeing and hearing and taking it in. And that to me is what takes the true measure of a nature lover and writer. : )

  4. Congratulations!! Your blog is educational for me and I fondly remember living in NYC and visiting friends in Upstate and Western NY – eons ago by now!! What a beautiful area!
